I received this today as a Forward E-mail. It is somehow Funny and Sad at the same time, and as we all know, many Lebanese live and work in Dubai, and they can be affected by this issue, which is something we dealt in a previous post published last January.

it is sad for those people. But what do you expect if you build your house on movable sand?
this is a big chance for lebanon in the long term. It is our chance to take back the lost place as a hub for the region. lebanon proved stability when every body was shaken…
allah yehdi our beloved politicians in the coming 3 months before the election because they can make our situation even worth then the picture above or make our future

Thaer,
U’re so right, but sadly we had the chance long time ago before Dubai became what it is now and we blew it.
At that time we were divided and in war, but what about now? guess what, we’re still divided and nearly in war.
I hope as u said that our politicians will come to their senses and at least agree on working for the sake of Lebanon.

Abu Dhabi is benefitting the most from Dubai’s crisis, since the Government there came to rescue and took in return many shares in big projects, so they will get big revenues in the future.
Tourists are also benefitting, mainly because of the decline in hotel rates. Can you imagine a 5 Star Hotel in Dubai for 50$ per night? this is actually happening, ust check them.
