A Knight fallen off his horse

Antoine Choueiri died yesterday at the age of 69.

First I couldn’t believe the story, because I somehow thought of him as the Heroe in a movie, where he can’t die, and he can’t fall off his horse.

But yet, this is life, immortality is for God only and we are all humans.

I’m very touched by the loss of Antoine Choueiri, the unchallenged Dream Maker, the man who strated from scratch in his life, to become the Emperor in his field of Media and Advertising.

Maybe Sagesse Club lost him few years ago, maybe the Basketball and the whole Lebanese sports lost him a while ago, after he made both Sagesse and Basketball history, but today all Lebanon and Lebanese lost him, we lost a person who became a Model in achievements and success and Dream Making.

I’m touched because I knew him in person, I worked with him for a long time, I was one of his workteam members for a certain period, and I definitely know what kind of a person he is, he is a true figure of the Lebanese we want.

People can love him or hate him, they can be with him or against him, they can defend the way he does business or they may oppose that way, but people should know that while he is a true Businessman in his work and his lack of compassion towards his competitors, he was and still very loyal to his cause, or to his many causes, and that’s why he never tried to sponsor another team to play against Sagesse, and that’s why also he disagreed with his long time partner Sheikh Pierre Daher at the LBC and accepted to loose a lot in business wise, just to stay loyal for a cause he believed in, which is the Lebanese Forces cause.

Rest In Peace ANTOINE CHOUEIRI, you will never be forgotten.
